TeeChart 8 and Delphi XE...

Delphi has been sitting idle for a while due a job change, but I'm now getting things fired up again.

I'm using Delphi XE. My last TeeChartPro is version 8. I have the sourcecode.

Will I be able to get TeeChart 8 to compile and run under XE? I know it's not "supported", but will it work?

Or is there a good reason to not even try? (I'd upgrade, but can't afford it right now).

You could try to make it work. Actually, I think TeeRecompile tool included with TeeChart v8 sources supports RAD XE. The first step would be to create the according packages (DclTee815.dpk, DclTee815.res, DclTeePro815.dpk, DclTeePro815.res, Tee815.dpk, Tee815.res, TeeDB815.dpk, TeeDB815.res, TeeGL815.dpk, TeeGL815.res, TeeImage815.dpk, TeeImage815.res, TeeLanguage815.dpk, TeeLanguage815.res, TeePro815.dpk, TeePro815.res, TeeUI815.dpk, TeeUI815.res, TeeWorld815.dpk, TeeWorld815.res).

and also the codes has to be changed to avoid messages like:

all my components support studio xe, only teechart not

Hi avnalobin,

TeeChart VCL does support Delphi, C++ Builder and RAD Studio XE. It is not version 8 which does it but version 2010 does. When RAD Studio XE was released the current TeeChart version at that moment already was 2010 so that was the one to include support for it. TeeChart v8 VCL can be upgraded to 2010 version at http://www.steema.com/order/vcl-pro/u.
