Two logins on one machine, using VS .NET

Post by JohnHorb » Wed Jun 30, 2004 2:21 pm

I have installed Teechart ActiveX (6.0.5) on my PC whilst logged on as an administrator, and have created a reference to it in a .NET project. If I log off, log on to a different account (but still an administrator), then open the same project, the reference cannot be found. If I try to remove and re-add the reference, it is not in the list of available COM objects. If I browse to the OCX and try to add it from there, the system reports that it cannot register the ActiveX. If I log off and log back on to the original account, the reference is found OK.

Any ideas?

Hi John,

make sure the TeeChart Pro components have been installed using an Adminsitrador account. I suggest you uninstall it, enter log with an Administrator account with all the permissions and install it again.

Problem 'gone away'

Post by JohnHorb » Thu Jul 01, 2004 11:12 am

Uninstalling and re-installing has solved the problem. I'm still puzzled as to what happened, as there ARE no non-administrator accounts on my PC, and 'domain users' are also in the local administrators group. However, all seems to be well now.

Thanks

John
