All shapes: fonts with shadows
All shapes: fonts with shadows
(In version 3) When you try to adjust the shadow for the text in any shape (legend, titles, axes titles, marks), the frame does not adjust its size. It used to do it in Win32 version! Also, in Win32, there was some logic in place, so if the axis title was rotated to 90, horizontal and vertical offsets were actually horizontal and vertical. In .NET version - it is not true anymore.

Re: All shapes: fonts with shadows
Hello UserLs,
Thank you for your observations; a shadow distance as shown in your example is somewhat outside the original design paradigm, we recommend that shadow positioning be limited to, at most, a few pixels to either side of the target text. We do not expect to modify box-sizing in relation to shadows in any imminent maintenance release. This will be added as a feature-enhancement request for a future release, id. TF02014549.
With respect to shadow location for rotated text, changes here may affect existing customer code; it has been added with issue id. TF02014550 for priority review.
Thanks,

Re: All shapes: fonts with shadows
I am sorry to point out the fact that this change IS ALREADY AFFECTING YOUR EXISTING USERS - us! We are converting from Win32 to .NET and this is different now! How can I explain my users, why their graphs look and act totally different now? And yes, the shadow offset in my example are probably to big, but I just tried to make it more visible. But even setting them up to a reasonable value does not look ok, since the frame does not adjust its size.
Re: All shapes: fonts with shadows
Another problem here: I can set shadow offsets to negative numbers (which I believe, some of my users did in Win32 version and it worked). Now, in .NET version when I read my chart back from a template file, if the offset is set to a negative value it is reset to 1 (?) for some reason, which is really odd.

Hi UserLS,
TF02014549 has already been fixed for next maintenance release.

I could reproduce this and added the issue to the list to be investigated with ticket number TF02014579.Another problem here: I can set shadow offsets to negative numbers (which I believe, some of my users did in Win32 version and it worked).
