TeeChart Pro for XE2 pre-release sourcecode installer

Greetings!

A Pre-release source code installer has been posted at the client download area adding full RAD Studio, Delphi and C++ Builder XE2 support.

Notice this release is only available for source code customers. Binary installers will be published shortly.

Please post any issue you may find with the version at the TeeChart VCL or TeeChart for Firemonkey forums.

This is only available to TeeChart Pro 2010/2011 (aka v9) VCL source code customers.

Do you have an evaluation version for XE2? I have been asked to evaluated the risks and benefits of updating to Delphi XE2 and wanted to see how much code we would have to rewrite. I was hoping to get a clean compile before I committed us to purchasing updates for all of our 3rd party libraries.

As Narcís pointed you, at this moment only the source code version supports XE2 (and the standard version that comes with the IDE, of course). As soon as we'll finish the work to adapt the Pro version to the new IDE, the Pro and the Pro Evaluation versions should be published.
However, if you have the IDE, you could start your tests with the Standard version included in it.

I tried to install the Package in the XE2 IDE but I failed! I opened the Tee9D11.groupproj and received several errors like "component XY not found". So my questions is wether there is a description how to install this release properly in the XE2 IDE?

Hello Markus,

You should run the TeeInstaller.exe utility shipped with the installation and use it to compile and install the sources into your IDE.
Take a look at this thread if you get FastMM errors.

ok I was able to install the Package(s) by using the TeeRecompile.exe. I received an error with FastMM but at least it worked. But now I made a short Applicatzion in XE2 and received the follwoing error when trying to compile:

[DCC fatal error] Unit1.pas(8): F2051 Unit VCLTee.TeeEdit was compiled with a different version of VCLTee.TeePreviewPanel.TTeePreviewPanel

Any suggestions for that?

Hello Markus,

Check the library and search paths in your IDE. The error "Unit * was compiled with a different version of **" usually means that there are different entries in the paths pointing to different versions of the same unit, confusing the IDE.

I tried compiling the current version of the source and the TeeRecompile program posted an error with a FMXTee.Chart.ListBox.pas file not found error. Is there a newer version of the source? I did this after downloading the most recent version of the TeeRecompile program (had the same problem with FastMM DLL not working- this version did not fix the problem).

I have exactly the same problem as Markus:

Unit VCLTee.TeeEdit was compiled with a different version of VCLTee.TeePreviewPanel.TTeePreviewPanel

I have checked all the library and search paths in the IDE and could not find problems. I also made sure to remove the default version of TeeChart that ships with XE2 before installing TeeChart Pro (Pre Release for XE2).

Any other sugestions?

If none of the proposed solutions worked for you I'm afraid you should wait until we'll be able to publish another PreRelease/Release.

It is nerarly a month since the first prerelease of VCL source code, can you give us an idea of when you will be in a position to make a final release of source and binary versions ? It would be useful if you could frame your reply in terms of days, weeks or months as opposed to "shortly" etc...

I can't provide an estimate date for the final release yet but a new XE2 and source code beta installers should be ready this week.
