Borland 5 Enterprise Installation problem and solution

I had a problem with the installation of version 7 of tee chart using the automatic installer. When I started BCB it complained that it could not load packages even though it had the correct path. The problem was that a version of teechart shops with the C builder and was pre installed. So I loaded BCB saying yes to all the questions of try next time then I went to the install packages and unchecked version 5 of tchart and then checked version 7. BCB then complianed about loading loading the version 5 packages to the questions do you want to try this next time I said no. After this problem solved version 7 of TChart seems to be working well.

I only found this after spending all morning trying to figure out the problem.

Hi,

thanks for the report. You're correct, it's a known bug in the latest installer of TeeChart Pro v7 (some old TeeChart files are not removed). We'll fix this in the installer of the next maintenance release v7.01.
