Hi -
i downloaded the trial version of teechart 6. when i try to display a text field written in Arabic Language it gives me a text like this (?????????). However, when i downloaded teechart5 it worked fine with me.
Any Advice????
I'm afraid that double-byte languages can only be rendered on the TeeChart Canvas when the application is compiled on a double-byte Windows OS (e.g. Arabic Windows, etc.).

Chris, is that why the translation feature demo does not successfully show all the translated texts ? Some languages are OK, but some displayed as just the weird symbols sequence which I am sure are not recognized even by the two-byte code language users.

Ah, well this is a different story. Which version of TeeChart are you using? Could you please give me an example of one of the texts that isn't translated properly, i.e., where abouts in the TeeChart Editor I can find it.

I am currently working with TeeChart for .NET licensed version,
of which DLL's are
TeeChart.dll 1.0.1189.31308
TeeChart.Languages 1.0.1189.31314
.NET framework v1.1 w/ langpack.exe 5.50.4134.600
on Windows2000 SP3 (japanese).
The translation demo works for European languages fine,
but it does not seem to work properly for Asian languages
and Russian and maybe some more.
(I do not understand all of them
Some are hard to tell they are OK or not.)
I compiled the demo program in Japanese environment,
but Japanese labels are not shown.
Does the font specification matter in this case?

The Japanese TeeChart langauge translations are OK though, right?
Some of the other double byte language constants files will need to be recompiled on "native" Windows OS, i.e. Arabic constants file on Arabic Windows etc. etc. Is Japanese Windows the only double-byte Windows environment you have access to?
Japanese language displayed successfully.

Hi,
We installed the recent version of TeeChart.NET and
tried again. That's it!
Now, the Japanese character strings are shown successfully.
Though there are some unclear behavior,
for example, the template import does not seem to work,
while the export works fine, we are happy with this new version.
Thank you very much for your support!
