Re: TeeChart Pro for XE2 pre-release sourcecode installer

Hello Narcís / Yeray, It is nerarly a month since the first prerelease of VCL source code, can you give us an idea of when you will be in a position to make a final release of source and binary versions ? It would be useful if you could frame your reply in terms of days, weeks or months as opposed t...

Re: TeeChart, RAD Studio XE2 & FireMonkey

Hi Narcís, As per previous posts on the subject, can you update us with an esitmated release date of TChartPro for XE2 ? We are highly pressured to release a 64 bit version of our software and if we have to wait an undefined amount of time for TChartPro, then we may have to pull out the features we ...

Thanks Narcís. I think that tells me to avoid trying to use TeeChart in Delphi .Net. Realistically that puts me back to using the VCL gauges and wishing you had the open GL version available sooner rather than later. I would look at using visual studio, but because the backend server is clientdatase...

Basic Installation Steps

Not having used Delphi .NET in the slighest, I've just failed to get TeeChart V3 for .NET to install / work in CodeGear Studio 2007. VCL is fine and that is where all of our production work is happening. I just wanted to evaluate the gauge differences bewteen .NET and VCL (using a .NET license file ...

Thanks for the update Marc. An OpenGL version would be most welcome at some point.

Paul.

Update

Marc, Apologies for chasing over this, but can you give us an update on the progress (or not) of the circular gauge improvements in VCL. As a company, we're now demoing our application to potential and existing customers with the current 8.02 release. At a key internal meeting this Friday, I will be...

Marc, Thanks for the detailed update. It helps to know that you are still working on improvements. Our application still has two major features to implement before it's first release and so we don't need an immediate resolution. Just as an aside, the gauge size we are using can't be helping as they ...

VCL Gauge development after V8.02

Narcis / Yeray, First of all, happy new year! Secondly, are you able to give us some information regarding developments in the VCL circular gauge. Specifically making it appear as visually impressive as the .NET version - as shown in the gallery. Back in October you answered my posts on this issue b...

If you read jls post titled Guages Issues / Questions and also my posts VCL Guage 8.01 you'll see that we've both raised this issue. Steema are aware and hopefully will address some in not all of our concerns in the next maintenance release.

Paul.

Thanks Yeray, I'll look forward to any fixes in the upcoming maintenance releases. For what it's worth, in general, I have found that properties set in code are effective at run time. Those changes made at design time in the chart editor tend to be lost at run time. I don't know how widely this appl...

Further to my earlier post, I've seen the post by jls "Guages Issues / Questions" and agree with it, particularly points 5 & 7. Adding to that I have spent a fair amount of time already investigating the circular guage. I don't want to appear negative, but from the issues I've come across already, i...

VCL Guage 8.01

The sample circular guages in the gallery show a nice choice of settings. To save a lot of trial and error on my part trying to replicate these, can somebody post the properties used to generate these guages, particularly the one with the white face ? I guess the samples were generated in .NET prior...
